Kitesurf Lessons

Surf Connect, founded in 2005, is Brisbane’s only IKO & AWSA accredited school. Other than IKO & AWSA, we also have qualified instructors with RYA (Royal Yachting Association), Sailing Australia and NSSIA for our other sports.

IKO (International Kiteboarding Organisation) is the world's most recognised Association and has over 300 centers around the world. It's structured, safe and superb teaching program has allowed us to introduce the sport safely and professionally. Over the last 20 years, we have introduced our sports to over 50,000 students.

Every kite student receives free IKO membership and Certification Card. The certification allows you to rent gear, enjoy discounts, access training videos, even purchase insurance if required.

We are open 7 days a week on the northside of Brisbane at Sandgate. After your first lesson, you’ll receive 10% discount on all future lessons.

Then after your learning, you can claim back what you spent on lessons as purchase discount (upto 4 hours worth ~$600 (voucher bookings excluded) towards any of our stocked packages - making your training even more rewarding. Lessons cost $300 for 2 hours, including all equipment.

If you have a friend or partner who would like to learn together, a Two person Two to share Two hour lesson costs $400. We also have 3 to share for $500.

Note in shared lessons, the group will share ONE kite and ONE instructor in the lesson. 

Booking terms and conditions:

1. All bookings are to be made by 5pm the day before, unless you have been advised otherwise.
2. Changes of date/times allowed provided a minimum of 24 hours notice is given. No shows will void payment/voucher. 
3. Amendments under 24 hours due to medical reasons is allowed provided a valid Doctor's note is supplied, and a rebooking fee of $50 is paid. 
4. We strongly advise you take out your own insurance cover, as we do not accept any liabilities for any injuries or property loss or damage. Most home insurance policies may already include such cover, or allow you to add on as additional cover. If required, we can also recommend insurance company. 
5. Registration and indemnity form must be completed prior to activity. Booking confirmation will not be issued unless registration form is received.
6. Safety apparel must be worn at all times during activity.
7. Participants weight limit is governed by our safety gear sizes. We have from XS to XXL.

9. Gift Vouchers can be used against any of our activities or our agent's shop (Reedin.com.au against any non-discounted priced items.
10. Public holidays attracts 15% surcharge.
